Pallet recycling and return programs

Clear the pallet pile, and send every pallet where it belongs.

We buy reusable white-wood pallets, recycle the broken ones, and pick up mixed piles from your dock. Any rental pallets in the pile are sorted out and left ready for the pool that owns them. We never buy or sell those.

Every pallet in a pile has one of four outcomes

A mixed pile usually holds sound pallets someone will reuse, pallets that need a board or two, scrap, and a few rental pallets that belong to someone else. We handle all four in one visit.

i.

Reuse

Sound, unpainted pallets in common sizes are bought and go straight back into use.

ii.

Repair

A frame that's intact with one or two broken boards gets reclaimed boards and a second life.

iii.

Recycle

Broken pallets are taken apart for boards, and the rest is ground into mulch, bedding or biomass fuel.

iv.

Return

Painted or stenciled rental pallets stay the pool's property. We stack them apart and point you to the owner's own pickup.

How a pickup works

  1. Send the counts

Rough numbers by kind are enough. The pile planner turns them into a plan and a suggested vehicle before you send anything.

  2. We confirm by email

We reply with what we'll buy, what we'll recycle, the truck we'll send and a pickup window that suits your dock.

  3. We sort on site

The crew grades each pallet into reuse, repair and scrap, and stacks any rental pallets apart for their owners.

  4. The dock is clear

Your own pallets leave with us. The rental stack is left ready, with the owner's official collection link so you can book its collection. More on pickup and sorting.

Is a pallet yours to sell?

Usually, if it's bare wood with no owner mark. White-wood pallets are bought and sold outright, so they belong to whoever received them. A pallet painted a solid color, or stenciled "property of" a company, is normally a rental pallet. The pool keeps ownership, so it isn't anyone else's to sell, and the owner collects strays through its own channel.

The identifier walks through it one question at a time. Start here:

For docks that fill up every week

If pallets arrive with every delivery, a one-off pickup only resets the clock. A pallet return program puts collection on a schedule: we take the white-wood pallets and scrap on each visit, and the rental pallets are kept in one marked spot for their owners' trucks.
